Tactile Replica beside original
Some pieces had a tactile replica (centre in this group) beside them so people could feel the textures
Pictures showing QR code for app
The QRL codes (like a square barcode) to the right of each piece allow the ARTcessible app to identify the work and read a description

This was my first show to include any accessibility features. I had two tactile replicas in place for patrons to touch which were very well received. I also had braille descriptions and large print for everything. We developed a phone app that would read an audio recording when the QRL code was scanned, and even supplied loaner tablets for people who did not have smartphones. The app worked well, but we found that very few users actually loaded and used the app, so we determined that we needed a better way to provide descriptions.
