Wood Buffalo

Thank you to the people at the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo for a successful show! The show ran from December 3rd through December 10th, 2025.

The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo sent me some pictures of the show, everything arrived and set up as planned.

The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo is hosting a show featuring a variety of accessible artists, entitled Art for Social Change. Art for Social Change seeks to inspire visitors to reflect, connect and take action to address barriers to accessibility and inclusion, like inaccessible spaces, unequal access to programs and services, and assumptions that limit people’s full participation in society.

These artworks will be displayed in the Keyano Theatre from December 3, International Day for Persons with Disabilities, until December 10, International Human Rights Day.

Six of my pieces, each with tactile replicas and an audio description player will be featured.

  • Searching for Cypress Hills III
  • Birches in Winter
  • Wood Buffalo Park
  • Salt River
  • On the Edge of the Boreal Forest
  • Canola Field

The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo website now has a post about their show. I was pleased to see that they used one of my pictures at the very beginning of their post. This show really appeals to me because of its emphasis on accessibility.
